These life-saving devices should be easily accessible to everyone in a community and the aim of the Defib Angels initiative is to encourage local people to set up a Defib Angel Group and help obtain a life-saving defibrillator for their immediate neighbourhood.

The facts, however, show that more defibrillators are needed within easy and quick reach of all households in every community because in the event of a person suffering a sudden cardiac arrest, there is less than 10 minutes in which to help save their life through CPR and the use of a defibrillator.

If your nearest public access is at the other end of your village or town, could you easily reach it and return to your neighbourhood and assist a person suffering a cardiac arrest within 10 minutes?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][layerslider_vc id=”30″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”middle” padding_top=”20px” padding_bottom=”20px” bg_type=”bg_color” bg_override=”full” bg_color_value=”#e6e6e6″ el_class=”anchor”][vc_column border_color=”#d85454″ border_width=”0px 1px 0px 1px”][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1993″ img_size=”300×300″ add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” rounded_image=”yes”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Become a Defib Angel and gather up your local community to place life saving defibrillator and cabinet!” google_fonts=”font_family:Chelsea%20Market%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]

If you are interested in setting up a Defib Angel Group for your neighbourhood, we can assist you by providing more information such as leaflets and campaign kits to help you raise funds.  You may also wish to link up with a local charity or other well-established organisation that works on behalf of the community.

You can place a public access cabinet in your street, for example, on the side of a house or on a public facing garage wall. WEL Medical can assist you with more details on installation.

When your public access defibrillator is up and running, it’s important to let the community know its location.

You will also need to let the Ambulance Service know you have a public access defibrillator. By visiting our members website: iPAD Members you can upgrade the warranty on the defibrillator from 7 to 10 years. WEL Medical will also help you by making the defibrillator details available to the Ambulance Service.
