Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, regardless of age and fitness level.  There are no outward signs, no warning, and no chance of survival without a defibrillator.  CPR alone is not enough to save a person’s life and for every minute lost without using a defibrillator, a person’s chance of survival drops by 10% – that’s just 10 minutes to save a life.  The recommended time for an Ambulance to reach a patient is 7 minutes, the reality is that this can be considerably longer if there are traffic hold-ups, or the location is difficult to access.  Can you take that risk?

The iPAD SP1 is used by the Emergency services across the country and this life-saving device has the support of the British Heart Foundation because it is designed for use by anyone, trained or not.

COMMUNITY ACCESS DEFIBRILLATORS

Having an accessible Community Public Access Defibrillator in your community helps save lives!  As it is reported that 80% of all out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in the home, it is vitally important that defibrillators are accessible to everyone.  WEL Medical has been privileged over the years to work with a large number of philanthropic and charitable organisations across the whole of the UK and Ireland. Many of these are regional, run by passionate people, many of whom have suffered a personal tragedy, all of whom are motivated to save lives.  Many are community based and raise money to place defibrillators locally.  For more information on placing a defibrillator in your community, contact us on 01252 344007 or email us using the button below.

Every business is legally required to provide “adequate” First Aid resources.  With recent guideline changes regarding First Aid in the workplace, we are now seeing defibrillators included in training courses.  Through advances in technology that make them simple to use by virtually anyone, defibrillators are now being considered as just another item in a business First Aid Kit.  A growing number of businesses are placing defibrillators on their premises as a duty of care to their employees.  For more information on having a defibrillator in your business, contact us on 01252 344007 or email us using the button below.

THE CIRCUIT by The British Heart Foundation

The moment someone has a cardiac arrest, the clock starts ticking. Every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chances of survival. But many defibrillators are never used because emergency services don’t know where they are or how to access them.  This is where The Circuit comes in.  The Circuit – the national defibrillator network, provides the NHS ambulance services with vital information about defibrillators across the UK so that in those crucial moments after a cardiac arrest, they can be accessed quickly to help save lives.  To register your defibrillator today, please click the link below.
